Biblical Prayers About God’s Love (Part 2)

In the last post, we began talking about God’s love for us. Sometimes this can really hard for us to understand. We might say that we know He loves us. But believing it deep in our core is another story. Getting in The Word and praying scriptures about God’s love can help you unleash a new power in your life. Here are some more of those Biblical prayers about God’s love…

Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes things in life feel too hard to bear. But I know that Christ dwells in my heart through faith. And I know that I am rooted and grounded in Your love and You keep me strong. I have the power to understand how deep Your love is. I pray that You help me to experience the love of Christ, so that I can be complete will all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:17-19)Abba Father, I might be walking through something difficult right now. But I know that You love me so and You are by my side through this difficulty. And if You are for me, then who can be against me? (Romans 8: 31)

God, when I mess up, the enemy wants to tell me how disappointed You are in me. But I know that You are merciful and gracious. You are slow to anger and You are abounding in steadfast love. (Psalm 103:8)

Father, too often, I try to earn Your love. But I want to stop striving so hard. By grace I have been saved through faith. This was not my own doing. It is a gift from You. So I thank You that You love me unconditionally and that I do not have to work for it. (Ephesians 2:8)

Lord, this life can be hard and sometimes I feel alone. But I know You are always with me. Thank You that You loved me first, and this in turn helped me to love You. (1 John 4:19)

Heavenly Father, too often I feel hatred towards myself. And when I am disappointed in myself, I imagine that You are disappointed in me too. Please help me to get rid of these thoughts, for the truth is that You love me. And I am in awe and amazement that You love me just as much as You love Jesus. (John 17:23)

God, sometimes it feels like You’re silent. But I know that You have not forgotten me, for Your Word says that You have engraved me on the palms of Your hands. (Isaiah 49:16)

Lord, sometimes I feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders. But instead of dwelling on my troubles, I turn to You. You are my rock and my refuge. (Psalm 62:7)

Dear Father, I am sorry that sometimes when I have difficulties, I doubt Your love. I want to remember that in my suffering, there is still hope. Especially in these times, help me to know that Your love has been poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:3-5)

Lord, Your steadfast love never ceases. Your mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
